Grade: 11th Grade/ High school
students
Main Topic: Education

Environment
Function: Asking for and
expressing opinions, giving suggestions
Interaction Type: Group work
TIME: 50 min.
PART 2: Procedure:
As a quick warm up to the
activity, the teacher starts the session with asking students to observe the
classroom environment for a few seconds. They are asked to think about if they feel
physically comfortable, what are the problems of that environment and what are
the possible solutions, Then, students get into groups of four and the teacher
gives a handout to each group, in which they can see the instructions clearly. Based
on their own thoughts and feelings, the groups are asked to identify the problems
of the classroom environment and try to come up with solutions for each of
these problems. In the end, groups will be sharing the ideas with each other and
make a discussion as a whole class.
